If you have a car accident there are a few things that you should do. It is an offence to leave the scene of an accident and you run the risk of been prosecuted by the police. If someone body has been injured you should also call an ambulance.

1. Get the details of the other party, your insurance company will ask you for them.
2. Evidence, was there anyone around that might of seen what happened. Since camera phones are now very popular take pictures of the damage and where the cars are. The more photos the better.
3. Don’t leave the scene of an accident it’s a criminal offence you’ll end up in court if you don’t report it to the police.
4. If there is another party involved then make sure they seem ok and injuries then they should of called an ambulance or you should.
5. If you bumped a parked car then you are legally obliged to leave your details on the windscreen of the car you hit.
